Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly
Tall Cypress Natural Area; Coral Springs, Florida
The Ruddy Daggerwing (Marpesia petreus) is a large orange tailed butterfly found in southern Florida, Mexico, Central America, to Brazil. Strays are occasionally found as far north as Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and southern Texas. Caterpillars feed on several species of Ficus, which are members of the Fig family.
Fine Art Archival Print - Print Only
My fine art prints are made using Kodak Professional Endura Premier Lustre Paper, which has an archival rating of 100+ years, and a finish closely related to Matte with a slight sheen. Each print is mounted to a thin, stiff mounting board.
Metal Print - Ready to Hang
Metal prints are a relatively new printing method where the image is infused directly into a specially coated sheet of thin aluminum, and comes ready to hang. These prints have rich colors with great clarity and depth, and the surface is scratch resistant and can be easily cleaned.
Acrylic-Glass Mounted Print - Ready to Hang
This method is considered the ultimate for photographic display yielding unsurpassed depth, gloss, and vibrancy. A glossy fine art print is face-mounted to scratch resistant acrylic plexiglass with polished edges, then backed by Dibond for extra rigidity. The piece comes ready to hang.
