Monarch Butterfly 2

Sea Rim State Park; Jefferson County, Texas

The monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) is probably the most familiar North American butterfly, and is considered an iconic pollinator species. The eastern North American monarch population is notable for its annual southward late-summer/autumn migration from the northern and central United States and southern Canada to Florida and Mexico. During the fall migration, monarchs cover thousands of miles, with a corresponding multi-generational return north. The western North American population of monarchs west of the Rocky Mountains often migrates to sites in southern California but has been found in overwintering Mexican sites as well.

Metal Print - Ready to Hang

Metal prints are a relatively new printing method where the image is infused directly into a specially coated sheet of thin aluminum, and comes ready to hang. These prints have rich colors with great clarity and depth, and the surface is scratch resistant and can be easily cleaned.

Acrylic-Glass Mounted Print - Ready to Hang

This method is considered the ultimate for photographic display yielding unsurpassed depth, gloss, and vibrancy. A glossy fine art print is face-mounted to scratch resistant acrylic plexiglass with polished edges, then backed by Dibond for extra rigidity. The piece comes ready to hang.
